Sam Chambers grew up in West Tennessee; and attended the University of Memphis, where he met his wife, Melissa. After graduate studies in theology at Vanderbilt Divinity School, Sam and Melissa settled on a small farm in Cottage Grove, TN. While attending Murray FUMC, Sam met Dr. Rick Dye, who encouraged him to pursue his theological interests in pulpit ministry. Sam served as local pastor in a two-point charge in Calloway County, as associate at Murray First UMC, and as senior minister at Lone Oak UMC. Sam and Melissa have two beautiful daughters, Emma Grace (5) and Julianna (2). For just over a year, Sam has served as the director of the Wesley Foundation on the campus of UT Martin, where he enjoys as much cold pizza and theological questions as he can take.
